Kitchen Assistant

Main Duties:

• • Prepare and serve food alongside senior chefs, achieving the quality and presentation as per standards
  • Prepare and maintain your designated section of the kitchen whilst being willing to support other sections
  • Basic delivery duties, accepting and putting away – movement of heavy loads, recycling, organising fridge and store areas
  • Effective communication with colleagues to ensure as organised a workplace as possible
  • To comply with all food hygiene, Health and Safety at work, COSHH, and Manual Handling regulations (Full training will be provided)

Requirements of the Role:

• Basic knife skills and preparation techniques (desirable)
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks
• An interest in food and willingness to learn
• Willingness to follow tasks and requests from senior chefs
• Enjoy working alongside colleagues and also on your own when needed.
• Be respectful and polite to others
• Ability to work in a team, supporting others and having a can-do attitude.
• Be happy and prepared to move between departments, as the needs of the business require.
• Take responsibility for your own Health & Safety and the Health & Safety of those around you
