Our philosophy is that regardless of budget or available space everybody can have a beautiful garden which adds richness to their life and perfectly suits their lifestyle. It’s with this in mind that we’ve designed more than 2000 gardens of all shapes and sizes, bringing to life the dreams of thousands of people.
We’ve worked with national newspapers and major gardening magazines, trained hundreds of people in the art of garden design and horticulture, designed and built gardens at world-renowned flower shows in Britain and America, winning three gold medals at the Chelsea Flower Show and one at the New England Spring Flower Show along the way (as well as five Chelsea silver-gilts).
Your garden is a very personal thing and we think it’s important that you find designers you can trust to interpret your ideas into something truly inspiring. For that reason we like to spend time with garden owners, making sure that we really understand what you’re looking for and that you’re comfortable with us too.
STEWART KNIGHT
Stewart studied for an HND in Horticulture for three years at Pershore College of Horticulture before moving to Columbus, Ohio, USA to work in garden construction.
During the late-nineties he returned to Britain to work for landscape companies, building gardens across London and the Home Counties, before joining The Garden Design & Care Centre as a partner in 2001.
He likes to spend his spare time with his wife and two children, enjoys coaching football and as a season ticket holder for West Ham United can often be found at London Stadium on match-days.
ROSS WENLOCK
Having always had a love for plants and gardening, Ross decided to study at Capel Manor achieving the National Certificate in Horticulture & Landscaping, before gaining more experiences through working for both commercial landscapers and garden centres. Before joining The Garden Design & Care Centre as a partner, he was Deputy Head Gardener at Wolfson College, Cambridge.
Time away from work sees Ross with his wife and two sons, as well as a very mischievous Jack Russell Terrier, Patrick. Like Stewart, Ross too is a keen follower of the claret and blue of West Ham.

Regular garden care and maintenance makes sure that your outside space is always a relaxing and happy place to be. Allowing us to help in your garden enables you to spend time enjoying your garden and easing your workload.
What We Offer:
With 20 years of horticultural experience, we offer a professional garden maintenance service with works carried out by a qualified and insured gardener.
Our maintenance programmes include all lawn works; they will be mown frequently, fertilised and kept free of weeds. All borders will be weeded regularly and shrubs, roses and perennials pruned at the correct time to ensure their health. We will keep all of your outside space clean and tidy, making sure it is ready to be enjoyed all-year-round.
We also offer seasonal pruning and a one-off garden tidy. It is nice to combine a one-off tidy with a garden consultation.
We will work with you to fill any gaps in your borders, rejuvenate tired areas of your garden or implement a whole new theme should you want to.
We will use compost heaps and green waste bins when available.
We will visit you in your garden for a chat to see how we can help with your gardening needs. It’s always good to get to know the client and how they like their garden to be. We will take any input you have for us or we can take the reins and leave you with one less thing to worry about.
From here a garden care schedule can be planned. We provide maintenance all year round. This gives us time to make sure your garden looks its best all the time.
We have found the most economical and convenient way for our customers is to have a weekly schedule, calculate an annual price and divide it into the same monthly charge. Some weeks our visits may be twice as long as others but the cost will remain the same. However, this can be a fortnightly, monthly or one-off visit should you require.
The cost of the garden care schedule will be worked out by evaluating the size of your garden and the amount of work we will be carrying out each week.
Any extra waste created by garden care will be taken away by us and will be factored into the cost of our maintenance charge.

The ‘crowning glory’ of any garden is its plants, and the best results rely on the skills and knowledge of horticulturally trained experts.
Planting is the key to bringing the whole garden together, and we can help you find your perfect planting plan.
First, you’ll have a friendly meeting with one of our expert planting designers.Then, based on your preferences and our creative ideas we produce a planting scheme, choosing plants to style and create your perfect garden.
We’re based at Scotsdales, one of the best independent garden centres in the country, so we can easily price the plants required.
Then it’s over to our dedicated planting team, who will bring it all to you and have it bedded in quick as a flash. You’ll appreciate their care and attention to detail, and they’ll appreciate the odd cup of tea (biscuits never go amiss, either).
