HYBRID / DYNAMIC WORKING

Dynamic Working is an embedded part of our work culture at Scotsdales. So much so, that our dynamic working policies are written in to the terms and conditions of your employment contract. 

For us, Dynamic Working is not just about where you work, but also when and how you work… and live. No two people have the same expectations at work and home, so our policies provide the flexibility to make sure you have the freedom and trust to work with your teams in ways that meet the needs of the business, and your own. 

Not all our roles allow home-working due to the physical or security-related aspects of the role. Wherever possible though, hybrid working is accomodated by agreement with your line manager. 

Depending on your level in the business, you could have options of paid overtime or dynamic leave too. Please note that specific arrangements vary by role level and business area, so please discuss with your recruiter when applying.

Product Training

Our suppliers and Buyers provide product training to our teams, to ensure we are all well informed and have the knowledge to deliver the best possible service to our customers.

Job Specific

Be it advanced Excel, Computer Programming, Bedding plants, Fork Lift Driving, Employment Law…. We are happy to support our teams on their training journeys.

Values Training

Our Managers provide training sessions to all of our teams.

These sessions support the teams in understanding our company values, and what it means to work at Scotsdales.

Apprenticeships

Courses available include hospitality, retail team leader, finance, CIPD.

First Aid

We offer a 3 day First Aiders course, to those team members wishing to be first aiders.

As your role develops and opportunities arise, we will always advocate for strategic learning with both internal and external teaching sources.

Our management team are all happy to support and advise wherever possible. Personal ambitions may outlive your time with Scotsdales, but if mutually beneficial then we are happy to help with your personal progression towards your goals.

A large part of our management team began their Scotsdales journey in different roles and have worked their way up with the aide and support of the company. Scotsdales will always be proud to promote growth and development.

We provide a separate colleague menu. Lunches are provided at cost price, freshly prepared by our Café teams and available at a time of their choosing.

We offer up to £500 to colleagues who successfully refer a friend for one of our vacancies.

First Aiders Bonus


We provide an additional payment to all of our in-store First Aiders each month.

Long Service Awards


We present a special thank you to our long serving members of the team at key stages of their Scotsdales journeys.

Pension Scheme


Our Pension scheme is provided by The Peoples Pension. Should you opt to join the scheme, we will contribute 5% towards your pension, to top up your 3% contribution.

Health & Well Being Support


Our teams have access to an employee Assistance Programme (EAP) who offer health and well-being support. This can be accessed via an app, online, or through a helpline.

Volunteer Day


We want to offer support to all our colleagues who may choose to volunteer to help a charity or foundation of their choosing.

Free Eye Test & Glasses


Free eye tests are available to all. Should you require glasses specifically for your job, you may be eligible for a free pair of glasses.

Free Flu Vaccinations


Each Flu season, our teams are offered a free flu jab.
