Kitchen Assistant - Part-Time

Main Duties:

• Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and organising as directed by chefs.
• Assist with simple cooking tasks, such as assembling salads or preparing garnishes.
• Ensure all kitchen surfaces, equipment, and tools are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
• Monitor stock levels, organise inventory, and inform the Senior chef of any shortages.
• Dispose of waste and maintain a clean environment in all food preparation and storage areas.
• Operate dishwashing and other kitchen equipment safely.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to uphold a safe working environment.

Requirements of the Role:

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen essential.
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Physical ability to handle standing for long periods, lifting, and carrying.
