Café Assistant

Main Duties:

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages.
• Greet and engage with customers warmly, and assisting with menu inquiries.
• Process payments accurately.
• Deliver food and beverages to tables promptly, ensuring orders are correct and presentation is consistent.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently to maintain a tidy and inviting space.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation across service areas, including coffee bar, dining area, and host station.
• Assist with restocking supplies, setting up/breaking down stations, and managing waste/recycling.
• Support team members during busy periods to ensure seamless service.
• Manage seating arrangements and waitlists, and address customer inquiries or concerns professionally.

Requirements of the Role:

• Previous experience in hospitality, retail, or customer service is helpful but not essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and coffee brewing techniques (training provided).
• Physically able to stand for extended periods, lift/carry trays or supplies, and move around the café.
• Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to a variety of tasks and service situations.
