Delivery Driver - Part-Time - Temporary

Job description

We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Part-Time Delivery Driver to support our Fordham team with customer deliveries, throughout the Spring season.

This is a hands-on role delivering a wide range of products — from plants and compost to garden furniture and seasonal goods, directly to our customers’. You will be the face of our business on the road, providing a professional and friendly delivery experience while ensuring goods arrive safely and on time.

This role requires a C1 driving licence.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in careful driving, and is happy to assist with loading and unloading products.

Main Duties

  • Deliver our products to customers safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload a variety of items, including plants, compost, pots, and outdoor furniture.
  • Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and in line with customer expectations.
  • Carry out vehicle checks and report any issues promptly.
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service at each delivery point.
  • Assist with preparing and loading deliveries.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines, particularly relating to manual handling.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the delivery vehicle.

Requirements of the Role

  • Full, valid C1 driving licence (essential).
  • Previous delivery driving experience preferred.
  • Confident driving larger vans and navigating local routes safely.
  • Physically fit and comfortable lifting and carrying heavier items.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills and a courteous manner with customers.
  • Good awareness of health and safety practices.

Position Type: Temporary 16th March – 14th June (Approx dates)

Tuesday and Thursday 9am – 4pm

Experience: Previous delivery driving experience preferred.

Full, valid C1 driving licence (essential).
