Job description

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team, in Great Shelford, through the Spring Season. This is a vital role that helps keep the kitchen running smoothly by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene. As a Kitchen Porter, you will support the kitchen team behind the scenes, helping to create an efficient and positive working environment while ensuring all health and safety standards are met.

Main Duties:

Cleaning and sanitising dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, and pans
Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen work surfaces, floors, and waste disposal areas
Supporting kitchen colleagues by organising ingredients, equipment, and supplies
Following all health and safety and food hygiene regulations at all times
Receiving deliveries and storing food supplies correctly
Operating dishwashing and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently

Requirements of the Role:

Previous experience in a kitchen or cleaning role is desirable but not essential
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
A commitment to cleanliness and hygiene
Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work as part of a team
Physically fit and able to carry out tasks involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

Contract Details

Part time, Temporary (Approx 9^th March – 14^th June)

Anticipated shifts Tuesday / Thursday 11am – 6pm, however may include weekend working.

Pay: £12.25 per hour

Rate shown is for those aged 21 and over, competitive rates for ages 18 – 20.

Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen or cleaning role is desirable but not essential.
