Warehouse & Logistics Manager

Main Duties:

• Manage warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, and distribution of goods.
• Oversee inventory control, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimising waste.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
• Supervise and train the warehouse team, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain an organised and structured storage system to optimise space and workflow.
• Monitor and analyse logistics costs, identifying areas for improvement.
• Take ownership of fleet management.
• Ensure the safe handling and storage of stock.
• Work closely with the retail and operations teams to support seasonal demand and promotions.

Capabilities:

• Proven experience in warehouse and logistics management, ideally in retail or garden centre operations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and best practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage seasonal fluctuations in stock levels.
• Understanding of health, safety, and compliance regulations in warehousing and logistics.
• Strong communication skills.
• A forklift license (preferred but not essential).
