Gift Department – General Assistant – Full Time - Temporary

Job description

Scotsdales Garden Centre in Great Shelford are seeking an enthusiastic new team member to join their Gift team for the Christmas season. The successful candidate will work across all aspects of the gift department which includes homewares, toys, clothing etc.

This role would be perfect for someone who has retail experience, and an enthusiasm for the fast paced Christmas retail experience. Retail experience is desirable, not essential.

Main Duties:

  • Delivering the best possible customer service
  • Maintaining shop floor retailing standards
  • Processing deliveries promptly and efficiently
  • Replenishing stock on shop floor
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment
  • General daily housekeeping
  • Communicating appropriately and professionally with colleagues and customers

Requirements of the Role:

  • Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team
  • Work well under pressure
  • Professionalism and reliability
  • Good time management
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic with a drive to succeed
  • Able to work using own initiative

This is a full-time position, and will involve weekend working.

Rate shown is for those aged 21 and over, competitive rates for ages 18 – 20.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: £11.50 per hour

Schedule:

  • Every weekend
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Experience:

  • retail: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
