Checkouts – General Assistant – Various - Temporary

Job description

Scotsdales Garden Centre in Great Shelford are seeking enthusiastic, customer focussed people to join the checkouts team over the festive period.

This role would be perfect for someone who has retail experience, and an enthusiasm for fast paced Christmas retail. Retail experience is desirable, not essential.

Main Duties:

  • Delivering the best possible customer service
  • Maintaining shop floor retailing standards
  • Ensuring accuracy when processing payments
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment
  • General daily housekeeping
  • Communicating appropriately and professionally with colleagues and customers
  • Supporting elsewhere in the centre if required

Requirements of the Role:

  • Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team
  • Work well under pressure
  • Professionalism and reliability
  • Good time management
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic with a drive to succeed
  • Able to work using own initiative

Various positions are available, across the week for this role, starting October / mid November.

Rate shown is for those aged 21 and over, competitive rates for ages 16 – 20.

Job Types: Various, Temporary

Pay: £11.50 per hour

  • retail: 1 year (preferred)
